Hello to the ti gang.

Iíve been a member of the E34 M5, and the E368 groups for a while. Well, a week ago I smashed up my M Coupe. Itís a TL. Iíve been having ideas about what might be a good track car(but streetable) project using everything possible from my coupe. Happily, it sounds like my whole rear suspension and sub-frame will bolt in. I ëm not sure where that will put the wheels, but slapping some flares on could be cool. I think a lot of the front strut/axle/brake parts will be salvageable too, but I will definitely need a new x-brace. And the driver side lower control arm is crunched up as well.

I think this could all work out. I have to wait till the insurance deal is all done, then see exactly whatís usable or not. Then I need transplant recipient car. Silver, white, blue, I donít care. I just want a cheap one. Anyone have any ideas? This will not be a daily driver, but will travel 200 miles at a time to get to tracks. I plan on a full cage with race seats, so interior is not important.

Iíll let you guys know how things proceed.

Ciao,

Alberto

You have the perfect 'donor' car to build a ti with.

One thing I'll mention to make life a bit easier for you- get an M3 wiring harness.

Since you are racing, I would further recommend a '95 (OBD-I) harness.

The roadster harness will work in the ti (that's what's in my car), but the headaches are barely worth the effort. I wanted to keep OBD-II, so I went with it.

You may need the underhood accessories from an M3 donor car as well, since the under-hood bits are most likely different (the A/C is for sure, but you may scrap that anyway...).
