I don't have a ti and was looking at different specs from different years and noticed that some information says that the ti holds 4 people and some that says it holds 5 people. So are there three seat belts for the rear passengers?

I want to say I've seen 3 in back, but since I don't own one yet either, I can't say for certain. My guess is that I'm right, and the controversy comes in where people say it only seats four, while thinking in terms of comfort. It may be able to seat five max, but only four comfortably... I know that's how it is in most compact cars.

There are 3 rear seatbelts. 2 shoulder belts and a middle lap belt which tucks away.

I took another look.
I looked underneath the seatbelt sections that are stowed in the middle. I only found a male end.
I have 3 male ends and 2 female ends total.
I seem to remember this topic on the ti mailing list.
I had no middle seatbelt until my fuel pump went and the seat was removed for the repair. Then it magically appeared.
It seems the factory soetimes (well, pretty regularly from the souns of it) got the center seatbelt caught under the seat, never to be seen.
My rear seat has been used twice since 1998, so it's not a big priority to me...
