View Full Version : Euro 'ram-air' air-box pipe

It's been a while now, but the last mod I did was the euro ram-air horn from the M3.

Basically, it replaces the plastic pipe from the air box to the rad. support, and adds an additional pipe down to the left brake cooling duct for additional air at speed.

The brake duct is already indicated for the cut-out, which is an oval opening as the pipe enters at an angle.

I found the Dremel with a metal 'burr' to be the best wat to open up the brake duct. The the sanding drum to go just to the line. I modded it in the car, no need to remove the duct.

Then install. (a bit of a bitch to line everything up, actually...)

Result: another cool part on my car. No change in sound or throttle response. Dyno would not help, as this relys on moving air as the car drives forward. Since it's factory, and they bothered to manufacture the part, I assume it does SOMETHING.

Oh well. I think it's cool anyway...
