plug wire prices????

ok, here's something i cannot understand.

I was shopping around and found some spark plug wires on sale for about $170 at bavauto. I then went to partsamerica.com and they were about $293 dollars. for only 4 wires! what i dont understand is how a set for my dad's truck (set of 8 wires) is only about 70 dollars. what is so special about our plug wires that makes them so expensive? :?

its so expensive because of the spark plu connection is so big. I bought some 8.5mm from MesaPerformance in Costa Mesa CA. they have a website that you can order from www.mesaperformance.com. they are real good on bmw parts and much cheaper than the dealer. The dealer gave me weird answer on the price stating that they dont really sell the wires as a set. most shops replace the wires as they go bad.
