I have read that the 0-60 on a M44 Sport ti is faster then a M44 Active or Base ti by 1 second. Can anyone tell me if this is true and if so why is the Sport faster by 1 second?

thanks
Scotty

I doubt that information is accurate. If anything, I would expect something in the oppisite direction due to the increased weight of aero parts, but maybe the sport seats are much lighter than the active ones with power adjustment...

Nah. I still don't see a full second there anywhere.

They would have to shave alot of weight off of the normal 2800lbs to get a 1 second better 0-60.

BTW Car and Driver's test of a Ti w/ M42 engine came up 0-60 in about 8 seconds.

For a particular day and a particular test it is probably possible. The test data I have seen puts all models in the 8-9 second range depending on transmission mainly. The difference for acceleration between the M42 and M44 is probably small, however, the added torque from the M44 could make it feel faster.
