read a bit in the forum... so shocks and springs from any e36 will work fine on our Ti's? but its best to go with some from a 318i, or even a 325 because of their similarity in weight? I'm just looking around for a set of used shocks (H&R or bilstein... ) and springs... this makes my choices broader if i can use those from the above cars... I basically want to just lower my car, but might aswell gain some stiffness on the suspenion while i'm at it.. just my daily driver, but would be fun to have some good handling thrown in. any thoughts ideas?

Yes and no.

They will fit, but if you have a light engine with heavy springs, it won't handle well, and may actually end up HIGHER than with stock springs.

I've read else where in this forum that if you lower your car but don't replace shocks/struts that your factory shocks will wear out real quick!
