cabin air filters

Has anyone changed the cabin air filters? If so can you please let me know where they are located in the car, '96 ti sport. I was told they are behind the left side of the glove box, I removed the glove box and found that I didn't know where to go next! Can someone help?

They are under the hood behind the cowl.

Every other E36 has the behind the glove box (except maybe the Z's)
