Wow! The search function on that app really needs re-working.

I downloaded the app early this morning and searched for "BMW" and it said there were no matches. I also tried "318" and got no matches. So ... I deleted the app.

After reading the above announcement, I reinstalled it to try the search again. "318ti" and "318ti.org" will let you find the forum.

I know.
When I added it to tapatalk I could not find it at all.
It did show up in Just In.
I removed it and added it again.
You need a minimum of 5 character.

Still not finding another site I added.

OK, that works! They just need to have a keyword search and that could prove very useful.

I'm having my son look into building an app with some frequently needed info so I don't need to keep searching online for it. Where I live, AT&T doesn't have good coverage, so often I can't even search for stuff ... I have to have it native.

i too have an android device. the tapatalk comments for the android are mostly negative. Even though i have gone on this site via my android and i personally think that the browsing speed is pretty quick, i went ahead and downloaded the free version of tapatalk and just kinda played with it a little. seems pretty cool to me. i think i'd still use my browser though...

I'm just trying to give people options.
I will probably end up buying Tapatalk.
For what it is, it's pretty good.
I don't know what people expect.

I think it's a quick way to visit several forums, but if you typically only visit one, Safari is more fully-featured/more familiar. Tapatalk doesn't seem to have push notification (unless I missed it) ... that feature could make it more useful.

I was just looking at those the other day. Tempted to upgrade from the hero...lol. As mentioned...it is a big phone. Not really a slim one but I think I could live with it. Hope it has better battery life than the Hero. Any comment on that James? My phone is my only computer so the size would be a nice feature for browsing. Oh...dare I ..

Well, the phone is really an incredible piece of equipment, and so many apps and gizmos... Just wow...

However, the battery life is not as good as other devices, but I really cannot see how it could be better with all the goodies the phone has to offer. I would love to use it as a primary computing device, but I have 5 computers in my home now, so that would be a waste... Besides, the software that I maintain/test for work isn't spec'ed to run on Android (just win7 & XP)... :)
