Took a peek at my fog lights today, and one of them has water condensation in it. How do I avoid this?? Help appreciated.

Sounds like there is a crack in them.

i replaced my foglight bulbs and there is a seal/o-ring thing that seals the back cover of the housing. this could leak causing condensation. i had some condensation in mine but didnt think much of it. maybe some kind of grease or lube can be applied to the o-ring?

I popped it out and took a look at the housing... The screw seal on the back looked pretty good and secure actually. and close inspection didn't show any cracks.

What did look suspect on these DEPO lights were the seal between the glass and the plastic, that didn't look very air tight. (peripherally, don't the headlights have a vented mechanism in them to keep them from getting foggy??).

So I basically popped off the back, took the bulb out, baked the light in the oven at 200 degrees for a couple of minutes and pulled it out on the rack to let it air cool. (quick temp change will likely crack the glass) I did this twice to get all of the condensation out.

After that, I took some clear silicone glue and sealed the seal/ space between the glass and the plastic housing. Air dried overnight, and popped it into the housing today. So far, so good... fingers crossed.
