Nice. That thing is sharp! I'm already scheduled for an event each weekend with either AI or NCC for the next month!

If your open on the 28th NCC has an all day T&T at Suimmit Point. They have even hired course workers!! Sucks cause it's a Friday.

Just bringing this back up to the top. Registration is open for Historics, and if this year is anything like years past (and I'd count on it) I'd expect a very fast autocross course on Saturday... but you didn't hear that from me.

I won't be in the ti for this one, instead I'll be driving this (video is last year's Saturday course)

Impreza? sounds like a boxer engine to me and I think the dash looks familiar (I've gone through a few Subie winter beaters)

Impreza... I think '94. 2.5l wrx bottom end with STi top end and drivetrain. About 400hp on high boost. Gutted.

I'll do my best to suffer through... last year I drove a 400+ whp Cobra replica on the long course... that was a bit scary.

ah yes, the Moran brothers impreza. Quite the beast. I've done a few ride alongs in that. I love how many cars run cheap ford mustang knockoff wheels!

Whose Cobra did you drive Paul?

At the time it has the most HP out of any of the CACC guys.

ooh, that looks nice! Looks lower than most, with GY eagle slicks, bet that was fun! I've heard lots of great things about cumberland. Very high speed AX courses. Some triple digit straights.

Man I need to make some money and get a full floater built for the wagon. :D

No comment on the speeds...

Where are you getting your full floater? I'm currently shopping around.

My fiance and I go up Friday night and stay at the Braddock Inn in LaVale, but we do a lot of drinking Friday and Saturday night, so driving home isn't so great.

Hmmm. Trying to figure out if I could make it a one day gig. Overnights are tough for me. Dying to try this though!!

No idea yet, been looking around at kits. I'd like to keep my 4.5x5 bolt circle. I'm also wanting to do the conversion to an 8.8 rear from a 92-97 crown vic, to make it a bit more "bolt-in" and I don't plan on going with crazy HP, so a 9" isn't needed. And I dropped about a grand into my current 8.8 a year ago....

I've done it in a day before. Get on the road from Bowie by 5:30am (assuming you don't have to do tires) and you'll be there in time. Sign up online ahead of time and let me know you're driving up that day. I'll get the word to the right people.

Saturday of the upcoming event is the one to make if you are going to make any this year.

The Historics? I'm looking into that one. Been running every weekend for the last month so the better half is getting a little agitated with me being gone so much. Maybe I can present it as a "road trip"!

BTW, your car ran good last weekend. Gave me some ideas on what to do to mine!!

Sorry I wasn't there to see it run! What ideas did you come up with? I could use a few good ones.

Yes, Saturday of Historics is our "long course". It's a friendly environment for other-halfs. Restaurant with real toilets... good spectator area... or she can help work and/or run.

Gonna do my best to talk her into it. Maybe we can head up in the morning. Is it the type of event that you get stuck there all day? She's only so so into it so she'll get bored halfway through!!

We run 4 heats and finish up by 4pm at the latest. Schedule is as follows:

Heat 1 Drivers work Heat 3
Heat 2 Drivers work Heat 4
Heat 3 Drivers work Heat 1
Heat 4 Drivers work Heat 2

So if you did the Heat 1/3 exchange, you'd be out by 3pm (most likely).

She's more than welcome to help work on course, which keeps things more interesting.

We only push 100 cars through in a day, so the pace is conducive to being social -- in other words she wouldn't be stuck on her own.
