Found a set of Gottis for pretty cheap (details below) can anyone think of any reasons why these would not fit an E36?

-17x9.5
-ET56
-5x120.65

Looks like Corvette fitment to me. 5x120.65 is close to 5x120 but it's not perfect. There have been people who ran Corvette wheels on BMWs but they will require a 20mm spacer, not to mention they are 9.5" wide.

If the offset was better you could get away with wobble bolts, but those bolts and the 20mm spacer would make me a bit nervous. You might be able to find a set of adapters though.

Thanks man, i might have to jump on these. Do you think there would be any rub issues with the 20mm spacers? If so what width of tire should i get to combat this?

I don't know, you should play around with an offset calculator. Search google for it. Depends on if your car is lowered or not too. If you aren't lowered, you won't have to worry about rubbing as much. 9.5" is pretty wide, search bimmerforums for more info on corvette wheels, I know there is at least one E36 guy who was running them.

Ok, still need help, I've asked a bunch of people on bimmerforums and no one has been able to give me a solid yes or no on whether or not these can/should be done. If anyone has any information it would help immensely.

My first google search (http://www.google.com/search?q=e36+bmw+corvette+wheel&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=com.mandriva:en-US:unofficial&client=firefox-a) found this thread at bimmerforums (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1099976). Seems like some good info in that thread about other things to consider, specifically center bore.

As much as i love forcing wheels on my car, this is one of those spec'd wheels that i wouldnt want to run. Spacers, longer bolts, that extra .56 in the bolt pattern, skinnier tire, and still need a rub.
