Help! Gas mileage in my 96ti with 115k has declined about 25%. Engine has not been tuned but seems fine, no error codes and just passed emission test. Car does not seem to roll as freely as it used to. Brakes are okay so maybe wheel bearings need grease? Anyone have a smiliar experience?

I would go through and do a whole drivetrain service, change all the fluids in tranny and diff, grease bearings, etc. See if it helps - What kind of millage are you getting out of your TI - What grade of gas do you put in?

Thanks for the suggestion. In response to your question, I am a fanatic about gas mileage and I am used to high 30's with my five speed. It's down to around 32 now.

Wow, I would say that you are doing ok on the millage - I am only getting 27MPG and that is good, if I am hauling ass arround town I only get something like 21-23MPG. I know that mine is a little higher compression because when my engine had to be rebuilt they had to shave the head. If you want go for the service but I would say that you are doing just fine.
