Hi.
I've just bought a Compact 316IA that I hope to make a 318TI out of.
Does anybody know how I can get brake disks at the rear instead of brake drums?
Is there conversions kits out there on the market or do i have to get some parts from other vehicles?
Which bimmers can I get these parts from?
You must be in the UK...
Look for a wrecked 318ti and remove the entire rear sub-frame.
This is the easiest solution.

Jim would probably drop his engine to change an A/C belt...
He's right though. Try to find one with a limited slip differential.

Wouldn't the master cylinder and parking brake also be different?
As a matter of fact, I figured out ow to change the A/C compressor, mounting bracket AND belt WITOUT removing the engine....
The M roadster and M3 use different compressors (and mount brackets), and I figured this out AFTER the engine was installed, filled with fluids and running. (but the pump was siezed anyway)
(Don't try this at home)

I would take the master cylinder, brake lines, e-brake assembly, and rear end from the donor Ti.

what's with you and master cylinders ;)

Could you do the swap with a e30 sub frame? There might be easier to find.

I was just thinking it would be different for drums.
