Anybody have any real life numbers on improvement (0-60mph and 1/4 mile), with the DASC??? How about Mileage?

I installed my DASC at ~75K miles. The car now has 89K on the clock with "close the hood" reliability. I am running the AFPR supplied by DA, so have had no software or other changes to the engine, electrical or fuel system. Here are my impressions:
Mileage: avg 27mpg city, 30mpg highway (down about 1-2 mpg from stock, but still ~10mpg better than most M3's!!!)
0-60 time: Have not measured it officially, but based on my experience driving many, many cars, I'd estimate around 7.0 (plus or minus 0.5 seconds) if you really stand on it and abuse your clutch. I rarely do this (I prefer drivers' schools to drag racing) and my stock clutch is just now needing replacement at 89K. I'm gonna slip a lightweight flywheel in while the clutch is out, too
1/4 mile: I have no idea because I never drive that far in a straight line :)
You must be VERY mechanically inclined if you plan to install this kit yourself. If you buy one used, be careful that you get the entire kit, including instructions (which are not really all that intuitive, but good to have anyway). I got mine directly from DA through a group buy on Bimmerforums and saved about $500.
Good Luck!
i get about the same mileage on my dasc 95ti. 27 city/ highway and about 30 on the open road. as far as 0-60 and q times you will be faster than a any stock 325 and if you get a good day when the conditions are right you can really surprise 330's. 210-215 hp and 200-205 ft/lbs of torque are very good for a 2800 lb car. 325's and 330's weigh over 3200.
call chris at understeer.com. that is where i got mine from last year. he is very helpful if you run into problems during the install.

How much power are you after? DASC is only good up to 220hp.

from what i hear, i should only expect 180 horsepower from a dasc. i have never heard of 220.

nope about 210-215 hp
Is there anyone that has actually done a dyno of their car with the DASC? I have looked around, but have not found any verifiable results. I'm just kinda curious as to what they are throwing down at the wheels. Thanks.

Hi ,
Can anyone tell me how much is on? and will it mess up the engine or any part of the drivetrain in the long run. I want to get one but I dont want to have any future problems because of it.
Thanks

I saw Tichick's car dyno 196hp at the wheel last summer. Dasc, stromung exhaust, lightweight flywheel. Lisa is wife of Chris at understeer.com.

There is a DA supercharger on ebay right now, supposedly new in the box. The guy selling it has New York listed as location and has no transaction history. The bid was at $1,250 last time I checked. I was interested, but the seller having no history, I would be leary.

Yeah I have nearly been ripped off in a similar situation on ebay, if it's too good to be true then it probably is. I lost out like $300 on my transaction, but thank god for the credit card company giving me most of it back.

How about if I order it from whereever they selling it? How much will it go for? Are there any other good supercharger out there?

turbo systems are normally more effieicient for the money and they also give more power

The 180hp numbers you have heard are probably at the rear wheels. I've not dyno'd mine, but there are some who have on BF, and their charts show anywhere from ~175-190 rwhp. The 210-220 hp number is at the crank...as with most any car, the rest of the driveline from the engine back (trans, diff, etc.) "eats" 30-40hp so that by the time the power gets to the rear wheels it is much less than the engine produced.
A theoretical comparison:
stock ti = 140hp @ crank, ~110 rwhp
DASC ti = 210hp @ crank, ~180 rwhp
either way you get an increase of ~70hp...Yippee!!! :D
