E36 320i Diff into E36 318ti

Hi iv been in a tussle lately well for about a month my ti has not seen the road because i have a blown diff. Spider Gears completely shattered in pieces. After weeks of searching i have found some Diff's offshore of course which i can not get shipped to where i am Fiji. I have seen a 316i Compact and a 320i Coupe. The coupe is a cheaper buy for 2k.

So the question is can i use the diff from the 320i coupe for my ti? If anyone has a diff and can be shipped to Fiji please let me know as i am desperate to get my ti back on the road.

no it won't work. Standard e36 diffs have different mounting points.

E30 diffs fit with a little work.

Hi guys made some progress with my diff now i need to purchase the Pinion Gear Bearing (if thats the right term). Can anyone suggest an online store that ships international.

I do not know about international shipping but Dan at www.diffsonline.com would be a good resource to contact---he may have some suggestions.
