E30 to ti ?

I heard that the Ti has the rear drive line components of an E30 is that true? I am interested in changing the Diff will a 3.73 Diff from an E30 fit my '99 TI?

Yes, several people have done this. Fraser on bimmerforums.com has a 3.73 in his ti. You need the half shafts too or something. Otherwise a pretty simple swap I've heard. There even used to be a writeup on it at 318ti.org. Dunno if it's still there.
