Thanks :)
The car is supercharged with forged pistons, intercooled, stand alone engine management and few other things. It's getting o-ringed during the next month or so, more power and more bullet proof :)
Aiming for 12s, even tho it's not really a drag racing car, more of a daily driver and circuit car :)

RAiMA, did you see that vacmotorsports.com now has Cometic MLS headgaskets for the M42/M44? May save you from having to o-ring.

Thanks man, we've already got some on in the shop. They arrived about a fortnight ago. We were the ones pushing to get them made :)
We won't have a chance to install one on the RT318ti until about Feb. There's a number of things I'd like to do when the car goes in, and there's no point in starting on it when the Christmas break is almost upon us.
As for O-ringing, we pretty much steered away from that. Apparently it's not good for daily driving, which the RT318ti is.
Thanks for bringing it up, you're a champ :)

Hehe, I didn't realize how old the original thread was.
For my part, I emailed VAC asking for an MLS, so I guess our cries were answered.
While we're on the subject, what thickness did you get? Or more importantly, do you know the thickness of the stock gasket?

Sure do, I'll first start off by saying the gaskets come in 3 sizes.
.060" / 1.524mm
.071" / 1.803mm
.080" / 2.032mm
The stock size of the factory head gasket is .071" / 1.803mm. We picked up 2 x .071" / 1.803mm and 2 x .080" / 2.032mm.
The RT318ti will be getting the .080" / 2.032mm. It just allows the car to run a little safer. The new head gasket allows us to match the old effective compression ratio of 19.1PSI, at 20PSI now. This sits nicely with the new rev limit of 7600 rpms :)
Let us know if you need a hand with anything :)

I went to the track last night.
left Tampa with almost 1/4 tank, got to the track almost pushing the car... and got $20 of 105 octane unleaded($6.50 a gal.) and went out and did 5 runs. Here's my best time:
R/T .422
60' 2.098
1/8 8.436
MPH 82.85
1/4 13.192
MPH 106.89
I have the video as well.. I'll post it ASAP. Vs a SRT4 with Stage 2, down pipe and bigger wastegate pushing 18Lbs of boost. He ran a 13.3
also raced a VW 1.8t and rosted his ass!.
Everything was great through the night, but something ALWAYS has to happen... I broke both my rear subframe bushings.
i do tell you this... My car LOVES RACE GAS!

The 16 number is crap. I pulled a 15.7 with nothing more than a hole cut in the side of my airbox (full interior including tool kit and spare). And that was only cutting a 2.3 60'. I'm hoping to hit a 15.5 once I get my new clutch in, then comes the mods.

Nice work Maurolin :thumbsup :)
I've been away for a while. Only just slowly getting back into things. Still got to put the new HG on, and do a number of other mods. Scheduling that mid this year at the earliest.

Yeah, it's a custom CF blower. It had a spec of 150,000 rpms and is capable of up to 400hp. Unfortunately, those blowers are no longer available.
