well as many of you know, my ti has been having quite a few problems lately. started with a cracked guibo clutch and a leaky differential. then i got the inspection ii severice done, and they found about 8 things needed fixing. i only got a few of the things fixed, but now ever since i got the car back from the dealer, the check engine light has been coming on. this is quite dissapointing. over the summer, i (my pops actually) has put 2k$ into 'his' car. (its his car when it needs fixing. ;} well here is the thing.
the check engine light comes on almost everytime i drive it...not everytime...but it is fairly common. at first it came on everytime i drove it, but its been coming on less lately. their is no performance loss that is noticable by either myself or my dad (he catches more stuff than i do). it drives fine, but the CEL is getting me curious as to what is up with it. i figure ill eventually have to get it in and figure out whats up with it and get it fixed.
another thing...the check engine light is not constant...it will come on....and go off maybe 2 minutes later...then maybe come on again, and go off again. id assume that if it was really serious, it would stay on constantly. would this be an accurate assumption?
so does anyone know what could cause the CEL to activate....without having any noticable performance loss?
