Wouldn't an 80 watt bulb be only for off road use? I have APC Super Whites 55watt low, and 60watt high.

There from SPP....the superwhites i use for my fogs since they match my stock xenons and the yellow iions i use for my daytime running lights...

I don't know much about the watt and stuff. But I do know I would like to have those HID/Xenon light on my bimmer, do I need anything else to in order to use those lightbulb you are selling? I read a few times that some of them have or need a converter or something like that.

Is it as easy as changing a lightbulb in the home? Just pop the glass out and unscrew the old bulb and screw in the new bulb?

Will it fit my 95 318ti? Thanks for your time!

Nelly: For true HID lights, if I am not mistaken, you need to replace the entire headlamp unit. There are specific lenses the HID units use, I think they are called elipsoid, this helps with the projection of the light. They also use a higher wattage bulb with xenon gas in it, I believe. I do think when you convert completely over to HID that there is a converter needed, but that normally comes with the headlamps. Check ebay for HID and Angel eye systems they have some nice ones at a good price, compared to the 1000.00 dollar BMW lights, they may even be more! On a different note I didn't have to change anything in my car when I just upgraded my bulbs to Xenon gas filled bulbs. I bought APC Super Whites and I am pretty happy with them they look close to HID, but not exactly. There are particular sizes and wattages you need to buy when upgrading so check that first. Don't quote me but I think for the High beems it is a 9006, the low beams is a 9004, and the fog lamps are an H1.

To replace the bulb you don't remove the headlamp casing, just open the hood and pop the bulbs out from inside...super easy! The fog lamps are a little more difficult. You have to stick a screw driver in some tiny little hole in the front spoiler and search around for a clip. You push on that and the fog lamp pops right out.

Make sure not to touch any of the bulbs with your greasy fingers that can burn out the bulb or make it pop.

Anyway sorry for being so winded, but for my lowbeams, highbeams, and fogs it only cost me 100.00 bucks to do the upgrade and about 45 minutes to change them all. So the deal above sounds pretty good....

These are just the bulbs....if you want ....REAL HID or Xenons...you have to change out the whole headlight....

what i have are bulbs....and yes you just switch them out...in one minute...

i have now a 2k4 325ci which i ordered the xenons....now i have fogs as well but the light was like a piss yellow....(which did not obviously match the xenon color.) so i purchased these superwhites...which NOW match the xenon color pretty damn close....so i have those in now instead of the sotck fogs........

That is a sweet shot of your car for just being out on the street... Does your car have a custom paint job or is it just the lighting/relflections...? It almsot lloks like a dark violet? I think its black, right.

Just the standard paint...its JET BLACK....

i think i must of washed and waxed it a couple days b/f...

Nelly: I was on a web pag caled vertexracing.com and they had a pretty seewt looking angel setup for 239.00 it came with new headlamps dual projector lenses and angel eyes...I first saw it on ebay...I don't know wbout the quality I emailed them to find out some more info. Check it out and let me know what you think....
