Dear Motorists:

I am writing from La Paz, Bolivia. I am the owner of a BMW 318ti model 1995, Sport. Here in La Paz some bad people cause some damages in the rubber strip seal of the back windshield (if you see your Compact, you can notice a rubbber strip in the lower part of the back windshield). I need to replace this rubber strip but, here in Latin America, it was virtually impossible to get a new one. Since I lived in USA (from 1994 to 1999, time when I purchased my then brand new Bimmer) and I have relatives living there, I would like to know where in America I can get a new rubber strip for the back windshield of my car. An address, a telephone number in America or a website can help me to purchase the rubber strip.

I will wait your suggestions,

Sincerely

Where in the US are your relatives? We can probably find a local BMW dealer for them to walk into.

Or if you go to http://www.bmwusa.com/ you can locate a local dealer by zip code.

i looked on www.bavauto.com for you and they have "Windsheild Trim - Rear - lower " which sounds like the right thing. the part number is 51 31 8 119 28. they dont have a picture of it, but it sounds like the right part. so... www.bavauto.com is my suggestion since they can ship to your place most likely. good luck!

Dear Friends:

I took notice of you suggestions. I am contacting with Bavarian to receive more details about that spare part.

Thanks a lot,
