radiator stuff...a few questions

hey all...i need to replace the upper and lower radiator hoses on my 95 ti...i also need to flush the radiator.

i have both hoses that i ordered from bavauto..now i just was wondering if anyone has any knowledge about doing this task. i imagine changing hoses should be rather easy (but still any instructions would be nice so i have some confidence im not doing something wrong)...but im not realy sure as to how to flush the radiator...so i guess if anyone knows how to do that itd be nice if you could share the knowledge...

also...about how hard do you think this task is? i dont think the hoses will be hard...but how hard is the flushage of the radiator?

still havent found a write up on changing hoses though ...

so i guess does that write up look acurate...and does anyone feel like letting me know how to change the hoses...

it seems easy enough...take one end off...take other end off...put one end on...but other end on...is there anything tricky to this task?

I just did this a few weeks ago. Pretty easy just time consuming. If you have a bently manual I would use that. Also when you buy the flush kit from Kragen or where ever it will have instructions. I suggest draining the radiator first since you are going to be flushing it anyway. The opening valve is located on the radiator drivers side at the bottom. If you are going to take the radiator out watch out for the clips that hold it on they break easily. Use a really small screw driver for removal.

Other than that there is not a whole lot to it. If you are going to do the water pump that is another story.

thanks...good thing im not doing the water pump then...

the hoses i got changed fine...no problem there...then it started raining...i mean pouring on me and my dad while we were in the middle of a flush...this was rain from mr. hurricane frances...we kinda got it done sloppily...we will have another go at it next weekend when there is no rain so we can do it properly...ill have to keep my eye on the temp gauge
