Meet up in Irvine 8/16?

Late notice, I know. I'm in Irvine. Anyone interested in meeting up?

Last time we did this it was fun. It was great meeting you all.

I was thinking maybe we can go to a locally regional food since I still have a lot to learn about Socal food? IHOP was good last time but something local would be better.

So anyone down for dinner Tues 8/16?

Damn, I have a meeting tonight that I really can't get out of, otherwise I'd totally be down for a meet up.

However, if you want to experience the best of what So. Cal. has to offer, food-wise (i.e. Tacos), Irvine probably isn't the place to do it. I'd head over to Santa Ana and find someplace really authentic. :wink:

I just looked up where La Jolla Independent was in relation to Irvine. Its pretty far but a very cool little BMW shop. Last time I was there they had a 1600ti, gorgeous E30 M3, Z1, 2002 Turbo and tons of BMW parts. However, that was about 2 years ago.

One of my best friends used to live right around the corner from La Jolla Independent (they used to do all of the work on his E36 when he had one). They ALWAYS had at least a couple of completely cherry, vintage (1600, 2002, E9) BMW's kicking around the lobby or lot.

La Jolla is a solid 1.5 hour drive from Irvine.
