It may be a noob question, but what is the difference between a strut bar, stress bar, and anti-roll bar? Furthermore, what situations would one of these be preferable over the other?

A strut is basically the vertical assembly that holds your wheel in place, it contains the damper and spring.
A swaybar and anti-roll bar are different terms for the same thing. They keep your car from leaning too much during corners. In general, a stiffer swaybar decreases roll but makes for a more uncomfortable ride.
