I've heard of people swapping heads between m42s and M44s, but haven't swapped one myself. I know the head gaskets are interchangeable.

I saw this post about an hour after you posted it and was wondering why no one from this forum had jumped on it- If I still had my M42, I would have been on it like white on rice.
