Thanks.

The cluster came off a 96 318ti automatic. It was fully functioning when it came out and was replaced with the M3 cluster. The last entry in my maintenance log book was on 5-24-2010 and the odometer reading was 169,027 miles. The transmission failed on 2-10-2011 but I don't have a record of the odometer. I can then conclude that it most likely shows around 170K miles.

Thank you- too many for my needs. Car I'm fixing has around 115k and I need it to be close with the replacement cluster.

The odometer reading can be reset to any number you want. Any dealer or BMW repair shop can set the cluster with their GT1 or autologic equipment.
