Hey all,

I figured I'd give this a shot. Here's my story: I'm a college student from Los Angeles and I currently go to UofA in Tucson, Arizona. My current car is a 1968 BMW 1600-2, which is a great car, and I can never see myself selling it. The only problem is, it's not a practical car to get myself to Arizona. I've always had an infatuation with 318ti's, so I think now is a good time to get one, even though I don't have very much money (you only live once, right?).

Here are my only main necessities:
5 speed
Cold A/C (Arizona, remember?)
Won't blow up on me anytime soon

The top of my budget, is probably 3.5k. Of course I'd like to spend less, because, well, who wouldn't.

I've been scouring classified ads all over SoCal with not much luck, because most cars are autos, which is unfortunate. I know this post is a long shot, but I figured I'd try. Thanks for reading!

I love BMW's. Here's a pic of my 1600-2. http://www.flickr.com/photos/28450203@N08/5675094712/

I'm up in Phx. There's a couple on our craigslist, but need a little caring for.

Check this post by BudgetM3. It's listed in Colorado, but he lives in Tucson as well and may have it down there at times. Right price point too for what you're looking for. I met him down in Tucson to buy some springs and all went well.

I was looking at that one. Very nice. Logistics would be weird though, because I need to register it in CA.

But I bought one today! Picking it up tonight, I will share more details. It's this one: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/cto/3142840624.html
