Hey guys. This is a feeler to gage interest. As some of you know, I'm 17, and cars are my obsession and I am VERY picky about them. I keep my cars clean and this Ti is garage kept day and night, and doesn't get driven in the rain unless I get stuck in it. This car has a lot of sentimental value to me so I'm not letting it go for any less then I think it's worth, every one of my paychecks are put into this car. This was my very first car. I got it before I had my permit and it has been a long journey. I am the second owner, I bought it from a man in New Jersey, car was BONE STOCK. As soon as I got it, I did maintenance to the M44 and all the hood, hatch, shocks, ect. I drove it with the M44 for about a year or so and then decided to do what I wanted to do since I bought the car, drop the S52 in. Lucky for me. One of my buddies who has a 96 M3 was doing a turbo swap and fortunately he had a complete donor car to swap everything to his car. This means I got EVERYTHING out of his M3. I knew his motor was strong because I had driven in this car multiple times. We both cars were swapped at the same time, right next to each other so after the first day, the Ti had the S52 and trans sitting in it. After each day of work, the Ti had an put door car cover on it day and night. No corners were cut during the swap. Everything was switched over from the M3. Motor, ZF transmission, ECU, full M3 exhaust, Secondary Air pump, full harness, literally everything was switched over.
Chassis has about 190K, no rust, and motor and trans have about 188,xxx on it. The M3 cluster says 158,xxx on it. Car is not daily driven so it sits until there is a nice day out. Runs awesome, so ticks, real smooth and pulls like hell. Alright, story time is over.

I think you'll definitely regret selling this car, you've put a lot of work into it to get it where it is. if you do sell it I hope it goes to someone who can really appreciate what went into it

Just beautiful . . .

re: "-Shock tower reinforcement front&rear"

question: how did you reinforce the front and rear shock towers?

30yrMbr

Q. Tranny is a 5 speed?
Pics of interior esp. the seats. Q. The tilt forward for rear seat access?

What rpm at 80 mph are you running with the 3.73 diff?

Interested as hell, seeing if I can get my Z3 sold and or my 2002 M3.

Let me know about above Qs.

Thanks
Roger

Alright guys, bump, it's up for grabs again, i have been going back and forth about selling it, i was SO close to pulling the trigger on the Technica Motorsports turbo kit, and i have been buying everything to prep it for the turbo (Mcoupe rear end, gauges, clutches, ect) (i know i can't make up my mind). Im graduating this spring and will need money for college. It has been too much fun transforming this car into a beast and it will be missed dearly. I know the next owner will be happy with it and hope they appreciate everything i have done to it. $9500

Car is SOLD. It will be missed very dearly. I loved this car and it was a blast transforming it from a bone stock Ti, to a S52 beast. It is on it's way to Orange County, California, going to a good home. Time to move onto bigger and better things. Very bitter sweet. I'll still be lurking around here though.

I'm the new owner and his Ti will be very well taken care of and greatly appreciated. I am eagerly awaiting delivery to SoCal and I'm getting some garage space cleared for it.

Thanks to slow_ti and family to facilitate the transfer and shipping and here's hoping Alec is very happy with his new ride.

Thanks guys. I'm going to have another in the family, incuding the four 318's already. They do seem to be contagious! As for Bimmerfest, of course we will be there, maybe with both of them.

I would also like to see lots of Ti.org'ers at the BMW CCA Oktoberfest 2013 being held in Monterey. It includes 4 chances to drive Laguna Seca, which is getting more and more difficult to do. There will also be Rallys, Tours, Concours, gymkana, autocrossing (2 days) and hosts of social events. It is being held the week following the Monterey MotorSports Reunion, so you could include vintage racing at Laguna Seca, the Pebble Beach Concours, the Legends of the Autobahn (4 German Marks) competing in a clean car contest, with sponsorship by Spaten beer.

The BMW CCA Ofest (link here: http://bmwccaofest.org/schedule.phtml) will be open on March 1st. You will need to join the BMW CCA ($48) to attend the Ofest. Also on the bill is Dorkfest 2013, for all us fans of the BMW Hatchback being held on the last day of Ofest the 24th.

Hope to see many of you at one or both or all those events

Roger

Just got home from picking up slow_ti's ti. And it ain't slow. Man, but it pulls strong. It arrived in good condition, the shipper washed it before I got there, so had a clean ti to drive home. Saw a E46 M3 in silver, slammed down to the ground, on the way home, he was excited to see two Alaska Blue ti's going on down the road.

I'm glad performance doesn't disappoint! Please Roger, I beg of you, please drop the car much lower than what it is now. Stupid transport doesn't like low cars! Haha.
