Hey all, I'm new here and just got my ti last Saturday! It is a 97 alpine white 1.9 that has a California roof and I was just curious as to how to maintain it. Anyone know of something to make it more black and water proof it at the same time? Any input would be great!

I use convertible top cleaner/care stuff on my roof and keep it garaged and out of the elements the most that I can

Yeah I try to keep mine covered as much as possible. Okay sweet, anything to be aware of while applying the cleaner? And is there a specific one that you have used before that works well?

Not really, just follow the directions and I haven't even had my cali for a year, plus it doesn't get driven in the winter so I haven't really gotten around to having preference on what I use, Id say just make sure its a reputable brand

A common sense thing to do would be to clean and lube all tracks and moving parts of the top that you can get to. I have always wanted a Cali top. John

I used to use a sealer for my CA top.

Steven, what type of sealer did you use? I was recently looking at 303 Fabric for fabric restoration and water repelling properties. I've been reading just soap/water, brushing and no real treatment. However after 17 years...

Most Marine stores like West marine have canvas care products. Some waterproof others clean.
