Hey guys. I live in Canada and i was wondering if the bmw 318ti 95 came with a block heater installed? if not does anything know if it is a big deal to install one?

well, when i was living in North Dakota, was my main goal... to have a block heater. but there is nothing (as far as I now), unless you wanna have your oilpan drilled (that's what a dealer told me) I said fkkk no. i bought a magnet heater but it won't stick to the engine due to is made of alluminum, i tried an oil stick heater but the stick won't bend... so i pretty much gave up. i kept my car in a heated garage at night, that was my best option, and the car didn't suffer those cold starts i was experiencing.
I'm glad ain't up north no more.....

no idea of cost or anything, but you might be able to ask john firestone (i'm guessing the same one now perusing these boards) about it.
