In the Bimmer I have a Kenwood Deck that is Sirius ready so the controler is installed in the trunk and the attena on the roof.
I also have a PNP one made by Audiovox that is in my F-150. I have it mounted on the floor and use the FM Modulator to play it over the car stereo.
I love it. It is the best thing that has ever happen to radio.

i hear that XM Radio is better than Sirius, and is cheaper. Supposedly XM gets much better signal. But on the other hand, Sirius will have Stern, so that is always a plus.
This is just what I've heard though....

I guess it depends on who you talk to. Both XM and Sirius offer a similar service. Xm has baseball, Siruius has football and Stern.
As far as the singnal goes I have driven from Los Angeles to Frisco and listen to the same radio station the whole way without one problem. As far as cost XM is $9.95 / mo Monthly or yearly and charges an extra $2.95 to listen to the internet. SIRIUS is $12.95/ mo and ends up being $9.95 /mo if you buy a year and you can listen to it on the internet for free.
Pretty much do your research before you pick one over the other.

XM offers a 10% discount if you prepay 2 years. You are still able to cancel if you so desire prior to the end of the 2 years and you wiil be received a prorated refund. The more years you prepay the higher the discount.

I went with Sirius and love it. Wouldn't go XM. My brother in law has XM. He'd never switch to Sirius. Opinions differ.
I bought a Kenwood KDC-MPV8025. I LOVE IT!!! One reason i bought it is that you can select display color and tune it to match my ti's red-orange. Also, the motorized fold-out, stealth display is awesome. I bought mine through eTronics, but it's like this one:

Bought my Sirius tuner and Terk antenna on eBay for dirt cheap. Installed myself and put the Sirius tuner box behind the glovebox. Install really wasn't bad. Biggest challenge was making it all fit. I had to shorten some of my connecters cuz the real estate back there is t-i-g-h-t!
If anyone's interested, I'd post pics. Hands down the best stereo system I've ever owned and I listen to the Sirius constantly.

Also...
I bought my Sirius tuner off these BuyEssex folks:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=60205&item=5735951856&rd=1
The whole deal seemed almost shady but their feedback is huge. I bought my tuner for like $15 under a "no guarantees" policy as well a $200 Bazooka tube for like $35. Most of it's closeout and they have no ability to test. If you feel like trying your luck you can get some good deals.
Just my 2c's.

Is there anyone out there interested in getting a PNP Kit for Sirius. As you know Howard Stern gave out a bunch of equipment and all you have to do is sign up for a year to get the equipment for free. If your interested, let me know and I'll hook you up.
zerog5@juno.com
So you get all the equipment for free, all you have to do is sign up for a year a cost of $155.40, and then shipping is like $9.00, and if you order by tomorrow it will be there in time for xmas.

I just bought a Clarion 845 with the sirius radio add on gizmo amp looking type of hide-away box and antenna... Sirius is pretty good, although XM is much bigger company. they have satwllite AND towers. I have XM in the Ti and sirius in the M3, and they are pretty even. better faster reception with XM, but what I hear, is that sirius will take on XM and be the largest soon, as many companies are trademarkin it's name.

SIRIUS has two kind of singlas produced one is the SAT signal recieved from space and the other it a terestrial signal transmitted from a repeater on the ground. So I would say that this is not an advantage for XM and I actually think they share the sites.
