I received the Compact Drive Unit. This thing is awesome. It has an integrated audio and power cable that plugs on the rear of my Blaupunkt CD Player. One single plug mates to the Drive. My model CD Player Heidelberg CD50 wasn't listed as compatible, but I knew it would work. It will accept up to 99 folders with 99 songs in each folder. That means I can name 99 albums, and put a **** load of songs in each album folder. The IBM Micro Drive that it came with is only 1GB, so I am limited in the # of songs by virtue of data capacity. Maybe I can put a larger Microdrive in it, and add capacity.
I pulled out my CD player at work this morning, just to plug in the cable and try it out, it works fantastic, very happy.

MY BIG QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need to route the Compact Drive cable, along with the Thummer wireless remote receiver through the back of the CD player. I was thinking of somehow routing the wireless receiver into the center vent. That should be close enough for the wireless transmitter.

I also want to route the Compact Drive cable through the side of the center console (Radio/HVAC) so I can mount the Compact Drive to the left side, where the passenger's left leg would be.

How do I route the cable to the vent and to the left of the console? Do I have to unscrew anything?

I used to do this stuff all the time in the Sciocco, but have no idea on this car. HELP, I wanna do it tonight.

Checkout the pic of the item, and where I want to mount it.
