Does anybody have any experience getting their Calipers powdercoated?
I got a quote for $75, not including sandblasting. It seems a bit steep to me to basically bake something.

Would I have to bead bleast the calipers before powder coating (they are not new)

Thanks

Yes you will have to Bead or Sand Blast them to Prep them for the powder coat. And $75 for a finish that is going to last a long time isn't a bad deal at all. I think the quote you got was very reasonable.

$75 for how many calipers? my dad has a little sandblasting booth i could probably use to prep 'em. i saw some paint specifically for calipers that i was going to try, pretty cheap (~$15). mine isn't exactly a show car :P

$75 for both front calipers. I think the powder coat will hold up in the long run better than paint, and when I factor the pain in the a** factor of r&r on the calipers, bleeding etc, I'd rather do it just once.

powder coat > paint

poweder coat is a much better option, I would love to do it
