Greetings!
I helped a friend find this 09/98 ti several years ago - his first BMW. 175K miles.
The DISA valve needs to be replaced, so we wondered what else to do "while in there?" The cooling system and plastic connector pieces were replaced in summer 2012; alternator and A/C compressor replaced this past spring.
I'd imagine new manifolds gaskets would be required, but what else should be considered?
