A while ago I replaced the pipes on my ti with some custom pipes and a magnaflow tip. However, ever since the back end of my white car is always dirty from the exhaust... is this common?

The car passed PA emissions tests, so the exhaust itself isn't bad, just it gets all over the back of my car...

I was thinking that the 4-banger just wasn't pushing that volume of air hard enough to get the exhaust clear of the car, but thought I'd just check to see if any one had a similar problem and/or solution, or if I should be seeing a red flag somewhere.

any ideas?

do you know what the pa emissions test consists of? They don't test your tail pipe, that is only a visual inspection to make sure there are no holes. The actually test is only a pressure test of the gas cap.

So is there something I should look into here? Or is it just a big pipe on a small engine problem?

not sure, im sure your new tip is alot bigger than your old one so it is probably the emissions are just spreading more when they exit the tip.
