Just some information some of you peeps might want to know.
I just recently put some staggered BMW rims on my stock 99' TI. The tires are used were 225 45 17's in the front and 245 40 17's in the back. Everthing fit like a glove and damn does it look mean.
I'll see if I can get some pic's up in my gallery soon.

Yeah I'd like to see 17s on a stock sport suspension. Please post!:)
What kind of wheels are they? I look forward to seeing some pics.

Yeah I had the same set up on 96 ti, they were some chromed out M3 double spoke 225 45 17's on the front and 245 40 17's on the rear. Don't know what I was thinkin' but I swapped with a guy who had a 2000 323i w/ seven spoke (boring!!!). The handling had definatley changed, was a lot more responsive. I think if I did it again I would change suspension and add a strut bar and maybe an X-brace. But I agree I sure did have a mean stance. I think I still have some pics in the member profiles under dusty.

You mean almost the same set up if your sig is up to date. Since you have an Active w/no suspension mods (listed) your car sits .5-.75 inches higher than ZeroG who has a '99 which were all sports. Going to larger wheels always acentuates wheel gap so lowering is visually important. I have never seen a stock sport setup w/17" wheels.
