Help!!!!!!

I notice that everytime i park on a hill (upgrade or downgrade) i hear a crackling sound from the left rear of my car and my car lowers about 1/2 to 1 inch. Does anyone know what this could be????

there may be a bad subframe bushing. but if you are using the e-brake only one side is probably grabing. it is the same effect as if you were trying to take off with the e-brake on the rear will squat down due to the load on the indendant rear. If only one side squats that is the only side working. Adjust the E-brake ( there are several post that cover this) and see what happens.
