Saw this diff on Ebay, have dealt with this seller before.
The auction says" This is a S3.46 locking diff out of 91 325 want to upgrade your diff this is the way to go. In very good condition Also will fit a E28 5 series just change the backing plate"
When I called him, he said the car the diff was originally from was a E28 1988 528 BMW. It must have been pulled from the 1988 and put in the 1991 at one time. The diff has 98,000 miles on it.
When I look at the REALOEM website, they don't list E28 model cars. I can't validate that the 528 from 1988 had a 3.46 LSD.
Does his story checkout? He is a huge BMW used parts dealer. saya he had hundreds of cars in his salvage yard.
