I just wanted to get an idea of how much does it cost to replace an engine in one's Ti. I'm interested in either form a 323 of 325, i don't want too much power. Finally what's the complexity of the swap? Transmission, differential, mounts and exhausts have to be replaced, correct? Finally, the computer/OBDII changes, will that screw-up emissions inspection?
Thanks,
WEEZER

If you do your own labor it will only be the caost of the engine, transmission, motormounts, differential, drive shaft, half shafts, and rear wheel spindles. Also it would be a good idea to upgarde the suspension due to the extra weight of the two more cyl. I hear the engine installation is really easy like legos almost, it is the tranny stuff that is going to piss you off. And yes you will need the computer and harness (I think?) As far as emissions the speak with the DMV, I am pretty sure that the car will need to meeet the emission standard of the engine.
If you pay someone to do the swap probably 3k - 5k in labor.
