My temp gauge/clock is acting weird. I turn the car on and it stays at -40, it will not go up to the ambient temp and I have to push the clock button to show the time. The clock does keep the right time tho. Any ideas??

short, get a new assembly i would say, those circuit boards are too intrucate to mess around with, they hole assembly pops out, unplug it and put the new one in simple as that, except that parts cost.

nope. when the Temp sensor OUTSIDE the car in the Driver's side brake duct gets UNPLUGGED or damaged, the computer will always show -40
