I'm not sure what to make of what's happening to my car:
-check engine light came on 2 days ago
-car is somewhat difficult to start, but runs nicely when warm
-today the secondary air pump made a strange "whirring" noise when it came on and when I turned the car off there was a lingering sound of air leaking
-the onboard computer (temp, mpg, mph avg.) has reset itself twice after I have turned off the car!
And, on top of this, I just had some minor work done last week: new plugs, new air filter, coolant flush, new brake light switch. I'm at a loss to know what these symptoms could mean. Does anyone have an idea what might be going on with my car (98 318ti, 72,000 mi.) Thanks much!
