Battery light

My battery light comes on when I rev up the motor. Everything is fine if I let the car idle but when I get the RPMs up the battery light comes on. I checked the belt and it's not slipping.

Anybody have any idea what is causing this?

Might be a bad alternator?? I would check that first.

I would hook up a DVM to the battery terminals and monitor the battery voltage as you rev.
