Do most of you follow the manual's tire pressure numbers for the sport (26 PSI front / 29 PSI rear) or do you go by the tire maker's recommendation? 26 PSI seems kinda low for the fronts. Seems like a recipe for sidewall wear.

I'm probably 32 psi in the summer.

I'm not sure I'm following your reasoning: Aren't we shooting for an effective operating temp? If it's 105F here in SoCal (and it will be soon) won't raising the cool-tire pressure to 32 PSI just push the tire's temp higher than it should be when it's actually road and speed hot?
I was curious if folks tended to follow their tire's specs or BMW's.
Anyway, thanks for your help.

I don't think my tires would ever get more than 40 psi under normal driving conditions.

40 for me i like hard drive so i need the feel the road, and underinflated tires cannot support as much weight so u will lose grip.
