this intake system is good for the race track
but for street use i dont think so
when it rains you suck up water this could hurt your engine
and rocks and other stuff that u will find in your air box

I fogged my old Escort. It made a noticeable improvement at high RPMs. Nothing huge, but a pleasant surprise.

K&N's are a joke. Why would anyone risk their engine to gain MINIMAL power?

Track car.... great, do it, get all the power you can

Well in our defense alot of us are poor college students (atleast I know I am). And the more I look at it, for the cost of making this car very fast I could just buy an M3 or build a nasty Isuzu (my dream). It's a discouraging thought, but that's the impression I've been getting. I will still tool around with the M44 a see if I can get a bit of power out of it but as for high horsepower, is just seems like too much effort compared to the possible gain.

Oh, and IMO K&N are great filters is you just keep them maintained. I have run them on several cars with no problems. It's just like any other part of your car, if you take care of it then you will be fine (you wouldnt' not change the oil in your motor would you?). Just my $.02
