does anyone know where i can get floor mats for the ti?

i don't want the all-weather ones. and i would really like some with either '318ti' or '///m' (but not m3) on it. i'll settle with the ones with 'bmw' on it, but i think that those would be the only ones i would go for.

I don't know how you feel about aftermarket (not genuine BMW) parts... some here on the forum are strictly BMW, and some are "whatever does the job and gets the look". I'm the latter... you can find some on ebay for a pretty good price. I bought some ///M ones (aftermarket) on ebay for I think about $70 with shipping. It's a decent quality... looks real, and doesn't have the "3" on the end so it's not exactly trying to mimic an M3. (Even though it satisfies the part of you that wants to). I've had the OEM factory 318ti floor mats when it was new in 98... they were better quality, but I will say that the one that I have now doesn't necessarily feel "cheap". They do their job, and I'd buy them again. BTW, they also fit perfectly. I'll see if I can post a link for this later.

This is the product I purchased a few months ago... still selling on ebay... do a search on ebay using " E36 Floor Mats ". I'd wait for the "buy it now" deals... cheaper ones that is. I hate to bid and wait. :)

I have the factory mats, but would like to replace them. The big BMW logo on the driver's side bothers me. Bavauto.com has a decent selection, but I have yet to buy from them yet. The big aftermarket company is Lloyd but their stuff is too thick & heavy looking and I don't like the backing they use.

Not sure about the fit of the scores of ebay mats, but I hope that bluebastion will post a link to the ones he bought. Do they fit the ti properly?

I'm kinda holding out for the perfect mat that matches the carpet and fits precisely but doesn't end up with grooves in the carpet from my heel, but I have yet to find it.

Let me know if you find anything noteworthy...

i've been looking at bavarian auto and bmp designs. i haven't found anything that's stuck out as a 'perfect mat.' but i'm still looking at each (web sites and magazines alike).

I purchased these and they look excellent:

They really go well with the interior of the ti. Also the 318ti logo is not too bold for the car, just enough to look good. My only complaint is the stitching only came in grey, looks good but red would've looked better with my interior...

I will post some pics in my car when I get a chance.

i bought the same kind as in the above link from blue, and i got them in today. they seem to be good quality. now i just need to make sure they don't slide around on the floor.

Good choice... they won't slide around... the "cleats" that are on the bottom seem to velcro to the carpet... good stuff.
