Bulb 7506 same as 1156?

Can someone tell me if the brake bulb 7506 is the same as a 1156. Not finding the 7506 in parts stores around here. Cross ref looks like they're the same bulb. :?

Just make sure it has the same number of connectors of the bottom of the bulb and is similar wattage. Oh, and AutoZone carries 7506 bulbs FYI.

Yes 7506=1156....They are exactly the same bulb and will work in your brake light. :)
