Fair offer for 325i brakes ft and rr?

Looking to buy the whole set, seller said make him an offer for the Front and Rear sets with Rotors

what would be a fair price for the parts?

he qouted me 135 per brake w/o OE rotor. Should I go with it?

This is without Rotors, which I was going to get a set of brembos for the car.

Why rear so much, I figured that just fronts would be fine. Most all cars have solid rear rotors anyways. But i don't know if there is a big difference in the rears brakes, but i do know the solid to vented front swap.

what year 325i? e36 or e46? the calipers themselves are the same (e36 vs e46), but the carriers are different (both will work, you just need to know when it comes time to get rotors). also, the rears won't fit our 318ti's.

You only need the fronts. The rears won't fit the ti. The rotor diameter is the same. Early ti's had solid front rotors, and later (>98?) had vented front rotors. The benefit of upgrading to vented rotors would be increase heat loading/cooling which is helpful if you track your car. I did this upgrade to my ti, about $250 from Zionsville. Breakdown: $100 for a set of low mileage used calipers and the rest for brand new rotors and pads. I think the price you are qouted may be a bit high.

Fronts are the only ones compatible. I did this conversion and its very simple.
Parts needed:

325/8 Vented Rotor
325/8 Calipers
325/8 Caliper Carriers (or mounting brackets)

You need the carriers to fit the new rotors and calipers. No way to get around it.

I bought used calipers and carriers on ebay and used the calipers as my core returns at the parts store when I bought remaned units, new rotors and brake pads. Not a bad idea if you can find the calipers with the carriers.

Definitely over $100 spent, but my brake setup is brand new.

Got calipers and carriers for front and rear, ~90 shipped? I'll have to toss the rears, but the seller wouldn't break them up.

Just me, but I'd never buy used rotors.

there are rears that fit the Ti that are not branded Ti rotors.

I HAD a pair of Brembo Sports on the 1997 that were from something else that fit. got them in a set of 325i front/something rear and they worked like a charm. Brembo claims NOT to make anything for the rear of the ti as most companies. Sold them to a CFBMW member, who used the fronts on his 323i, but the rears didn't fit the e36 coupe. I'm thinking of buying them just to size them(They're C/D which I have no use for) and trying to figure what they actually came from in the Brembo catalog...I know Brem makes Z3 rears..but we're not supposed to share the same rear rotor with the Z.

Powerslot DOES make rear rotors(Slotted) but I've only found them at one online store and at 100/ea. I've got a wholesaler for powerslot, so I need to grab the p/ns and find out what my price would be for them. Front Powerslot are 164$ a pair for me..which is why I am running Ate current since they are 41$ea

just got a link to a pair of front 32X(Pair) for 40$ for working/clean
calipers/brackets.

I might pick up a set or two, prob have to have them rebuild, but I was going to get them coated black like my last set.
