Anyone have pics of a ti with ASA AR1s? I'm probably gonna get these (when I have the money, someday  )

I'm thinking 17"s, but 16"s are about $240 cheaper and 16 pounds lighter (4 tires/wheels total).

The Tire Rack website has an option to see what the wheels look like on your car. They sell ASA wheels. The ASA AR1's look nice on the ti. Here's the site: http://www.tirerack.com/index.jsp

I have a set of 16" AR1's that I put on the 318ti and they look pretty sexy. Don't have a picture, but they're a good looking BBS style wheel for not much $$.

Also, no spacers needed.

Go for it.

Sweet. Do you wish you got 17's or are you happy with the 16's? Are you lowered or stock height?

I just put them on the ti for a day since they were meant for the 88 M3. The AR1's have a 225/45/16 Toyo T1-S and the original ti size is a tall aspect ratio (60 if i recall correctly?) 15. That meant that the outside diameter of the AR1/Toyo combo was much too small for the ti so all I can say is that the wheels looked hot. But for what it's worth, the ti is stock sport suspension.

For the old M3, the 16's I think are a better option than 17 (personally speaking of course). I'm moving to a real set of BBS for the M3 this summer so I'll definitely be putting the AR1's on the ti. For a ti I guess it's personal preference 16 or 17 and someone else could answer the fitment stuff better. The big things to be aware of are comfort and tire price with the change from 16 to 17.

Oh, also the ASA center caps are not interchangeable with BBS. The ASA wheels are licensed by BBS though, so that adds a bit of street cred...?
