Here is a tip that might help some of you with intakes. The radiator is right next to your intake pipe which will make the air going in worthless along with the already present engine heat. Use header wrap or another type of racing heat shielding and wrap it around the the intake piping. This will help greatly in reducing the heat if not completely eliminating it depending on what product you use. Those metal heat shields that you see for sale are absolutely ****ty!!! If anything they actually conduct heat like aluminum foil in the sun thus heat charging your air. This tip will not help those of you with cone filter exposed close to your afm because your just going to draw hot air anyway through the filter. It may not have that shiny chrome or whatever other color you may have but it comes down to if you want it to look great and have no performance or if you want to try and make it look good and have the performance that it was meant to have.
