Those are nice... I'm not much for anything that's not 5 spoke (star)... but that's my taste. The first thing that came to mind was that it looks like flames to me... but then that's my perspective again. If you're happy with them and can afford them, then get it!

Not too bad....Nice lip :) They would look really nice with the centerpiece painted black. But you may want to find out how much they weigh....Heavy rims kills our cars already meager performance figures.

I think they look good, but I would watch the weight on them. And as far as filling the wheel well, as long as your tires are properly sized then 17s will fill the wheel wells just as well as 18s, just depends on if you want more metal or rubber.

I'm looking at a few types of wheel, as my tires are going bad now and it's a good time to upgrade. Right now, I have the OE BMW Style 27 wheels...the 10 spoke in 15 inches. I like it, but would look better if they were an inch or two larger.

First off is the OE BMW Type 32 wheel. http://zoouz.free.fr/Wheels/style/style_032.htm

I think it'd look good.

Next off, from the Tire Rack, the BBS RK. http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp?target=wheelSearchCloseUp&wheelIndex=23&sizeIndex=0&showRear=no&setIndex=4&filterSize=&filterFinish=&filterSpecial=

Next, the Mille Miglia MM11^3. http://www.tirerack.com/servlet/CallJsp?target=wheelSearchCloseUp&wheelIndex=55&sizeIndex=0&showRear=no&setIndex=11&filterSize=&filterFinish=&filterSpecial=

And personally, I think the E30 style basket-weave wheels would look kind of cool, but I'd have to see how they look first. (Besides, the E30 was 4-lug, not 5.)

Tell me your honest opinion of these wheels. I also need to know which tires to run. Reccomendations on a tire that is not too expensive, but a good tire. I don't hit the track too often, either.

Im sittin low on 19's and they ride nice. 18's are not to big and are not to bling bling, but a black powder coated center would look incredible.

i tend to look at rims in terms of how much it would take to keep them clean. all those bolt heads and little spaces ... aaaaahhhhhhh!!!!! :shakefis:

Diggin the OEM type 32 rims. I'd get those. But yeah, definitely a bit hard to keep clean.

I have 17" BBS RKs on my car with Toyo Proxes T-1S rubber. I like them a lot, but I'm thinking about moving up to 18s.

Here's how the RKs look:

IMO 18's aren't too much bling bling. Those wheels have an awesome lip and would look great on a ti in either 17 or 18.

city, do you have pics on your wheels? Did you have to do any body work to fit them on?

Gooten,

I'm a HUGE fan of the Mille Miglia ones... I think they look AMAZING on the ti. I'd go with them. I'd recommend my tires, but they're ridiculously expensive.

Whatever model you choose make sure they are hub-centric and have the proper offset. You shouldn't have any rubbing with 18s as long as they are 7.5" wide with a 225 section tire. Anything wider will need arch rolling.

Cheers,

No they fit snug, and as hard as it is to believe I only rub when I take a turn at about 2 miles pr hr w/ the wheel all the way cut to one side. Other than that none at all. Check up in the forums for a topic called "car photoshoot" or something along those lines and you'll see my thread, go look at the pics I took in there. PM me if you got any questions.

Eric, we must be brothers. We seem to agree on most things. Ease of cleaning was a major issue when I bought my rims. From experience, I have noticed that rims with edges, and or rough inner surfaces keep brake dust, and won't let go. That is why I look for rims that are smooth and contoured all around. My new rims are a breeze to clean. I can take a large sponge and slide it through one opening, and pull it out another opening. This basically allows me to clean every knook and cranny on the wheel.

I made a HUGE mistake when I replaced the rims on my Scirocco. Piece of **** "American Racers", they have rough edges on the sides of the rims, impossible to clean. The spaces are so small, you need a small bristle brush to get in between, and it doesn't work well.

P.S. This is your "Older" clone speaking.
