Buy it now......$500??????? They got to be kidding surely?

I don't know the cost of ICE in the states, but over here that would be laughed at!

Somehow I have a feeling you just haven't got your heart in that auction!

If only I hadn't bought that £70 Panasonic CD head unit, I just might have been tempted..........oh well, next time eh?

Funny thing is I asked the guy in the ICE shop for a cheap CD player to replace the Cassette in my Ti and he showed me all these marvellous £300> decks......when I said I needed one button for the station I always listen to and be able to play a CD when thats out of range....he sort of lost interest...... ...he muttered something about "old fart" :chainsaw:

Now where did I put those new rubber feet for my zimmer frame?

I lived in Europe for ten years, even did a year in your glorious country. My affection is for Blaupunkt radios. The one I am using cost about $100.00, and has tons of features. I also recently acquired, from a dealer in Scotland, an MP3 compact drive to connect to it. I gotta say, the Heidelberg CD50 is a great deal. It has RDS and even scrolls the artist and song title when i use the MP3 player. The Mp3 player was a bundle, but the head unit was a steal. It was in my Scirocco, and has been transplanted into the ti.

Hey! I like the big smiley face on it though.......LOL

Seriously though......the only reason I changed my standard fit was so I can play a CD occasionally.

And I had a Grundig fitted in my Brand new 2002tii back in 1973....that was advanced for its day, you could even record using a microphone attached to it.....very usefull when you get pulled up by the cops at the tender age of 18 and they ask why a young lad is driving this BMW.....certainly stopped a few, shall we say "interesting conversations" with the law! LOL

Best regards David
